Bio

Melissa Hung is a writer, editor, and curator who is new to filmmaking. She is the founding editor of Hyphen, an award-winning magazine about Asian American culture, and also programs Slant, a festival of short films in Houston. Melissa has served as a panelist and speaker on the topics of Asian American media and independent media. A native Texan, she now lives in San Francisco where she enjoys recycling and composting, but misses Tex-Mex and cafeterias.
